Hematologist-Oncologist Questions blood in stool

I keep passing blood in my stools. While doctors have ruled out anything serious, I am worried.

I have had 4 episodes of blood traces in my stools. The doctors have ruled out anything serious, however I am extremely worried on what this could be. Who should I consult in this regard?

I would not worry if you have had a colonoscopy. There are many benign reasons for blood in the stool. Continue to follow up with your primary physician.
Make sure you had a thorough GI work-up and, if negative, get a bleeding scan done next time you see blood in your stools. Also, see a hematologist to rule out a bleeding disorder.

several things can cause it: 1. Hemorroid, 2. AVM small oozing blood vessel in the intestine. See you GI physician for colonoscopy and capsular endoscopy if needed.
Blood in stools can have different reasons. It can be from hemorrhoids, diverticulosis or bleeding small vessels called AVM or angiodysplasia. Your GI doctors should be able to help you. These conditions are in general not dangerous but may need iron supplementation to keep hemoglobin normal.
