My tooth is cracked, can it heal itself?

I was playing baseball and got hit by a fly ball. Now my front tooth is cracked. Can my cracked tooth be saved, or heal itself?

You need to see your dentist. Getting hit with a fly ball may have damaged the root structure. If the force was hard enough to crack your tooth, you may have damage to the same tooth or an adjacent tooth.
Your cracked tooth cannot heal itself. It can be saved through dental treatment if a root fracture is not present. Dental examination with radiograph is recommended to establish an appropriate treatment plan to your needs and desires.
You will need a dentist to fix your tooth; it will not fix itself.
In some small measure teeth have the capacity to repair themselves I usually they require protection offered by the dentist in the form of a prepared restoration to help the healing process along and make sure the tooth is sealed against bacteria which can endure any microscopic crack depending on your diet and Metabolism of sugar in the mouth and the body. Your dentist will recommend the proper procedure if at all once he examines the particular crack and how it occurred.
Cracked teeth cannot be healed like a broken bone. Depending upon the location of the crack the tooth can either be covered with a crown or it may need removal and replacement. To determine the best course of care will require a visit to the dentist.
