Are parabens really harmful for the skin?

There is a lot being said about parabens and sulfates being used in skin care products. Are they really that harmful for the skin?

Not harmful, though it can cause allergic reactions in the skin. Can also cross react with Sulfa drug. Can also stain clothing, that’s why we don’t use it anymore.
Some patients are allergic to parabens. These patients break out with the use of lotions or creams that contain this preservative
There are preservatives in any cream or lotion however.
Unless you have a known sensitivity to these chemicals, they are not known to be harmful to the skin.
