I have had a perianal abscess for 1 month. I consulted with a doctor, he checked the physical examination and said it’s already open and drained and gave augmentin for 7 days and Fucidin cream. But still the wound did not heal. It sometimes bleeds 1 drop. Again, I consulted they gave betadine antiseptic solution for sitz bath after using 4 days again I bleed one drop. Kindly suggest me the solution to heal. Plz help me.

That is a fistula-in-ano. Requires outpatient surgery or you will likely continue with periodic formation of recurrent abscess
This is not uncommon. If the wound has persisted, it may be: 1) not fully drained, or 2) a fistula. Either cause of the drainage can be assessed and treated by a Colorectal Surgeon.
perianal abscesses are the most common cause of anal fistula. The situation you're describing is classic of an anal fistula. This is an abnormal connection between the inside of the anus and the outside skin. You will likely need a referral to colorectal specialist for further evaluation and treatment. Anal fistulas rarely resolve on their own.
A non healing wound after an abscess can mean this process is an anal fistula which is a condition that requires surgery. I suggest an exam with a colorectal surgeon for definitive diagnosis
This appears to have matured into a fistula tract. This happens in 50% of the time after a perianal abscess has drained. Betadine solution will not solve this problem. Find a colorectal surgeon in your area to have this evaluated. This may require an outpatient minor surgery which would include a fistulotomy.
Hello. This is likely an anal fistula. These can develop in 50% of anorectal abscess cases. The treatment for this is usually surgical. It is important to get evaluated by a specialist or a colorectal surgeon.
You likely have a fistula in ano and will require surgical correction. I suggest you make an appointment with a Colon and Rectal specialist for evaluation.
Non-healing after a peri-anal abscess implies the formation of a fistula. About 1/3 of patients with an abscess will develop a fistula which cannot be healed by medical means such as antibiotics and creams. On occasion, an abscess draining point will apparently heal over suggesting that the problem is resolved only to return day, months or even years later in the same spot. Healing of an abscess cavity could take longer than a month, but return to your PCP or referral to a colorectal surgeon for an examination is the next step.
