Dermatologist Questions Acne

I am suffering for excessive acne, despite of taking care of my skin. What should I do?

I always had an acne problem. Now that I'm 35 years old, I have been taking medications to help control, but they barely do anything. Are there any changes that I should make to my diet that I could consider?

The only foods scientifically studied to cause acne is large quantities of milk or eating a lot of nuts. 35 yo is a common age to have cystic acne around the jaw.
Getting off birth-control can also flare acne
Washing your face twice a day with a gentle cleanser and using a good facial moisturizer also can help with your acne severe acne is often treated with Accutane You will need to consult your dermatologist
I am not sure of your gender. There are more and more studies linking milk to acne. I am still not convinced reducing milk will make patients happy. Females at age 35 usually need more hormonal therapy for their acne, and aldactone is the most common and makes 70%-75% of patients happy. Males with acne at age 35, if conventional pills and creams have not worked, may need a hormone therapy. Metformin can help sometimes, but is not commonly used.
Diet is only one part of the whole complex equation. Discuss your problem with a dermatologist before excessive scarring on your face. The money you spend now is much, much less and well worth years of suffering and very expensive repairs. Too many people try to save money by using some home remedies, cosmetics, etc., and ended up with scarring and damages that cannot be repaired.
Lowering your intake of foods with a high glycemic index number can help. but sounds like you should get evaluated by a dermatologist since you are still having trouble into your 30s. You might have rosacea and not acne.
You need to see a dermatologist.
You probably have hormonal acne. You need to see a dermatologist. Yes, diet is important. Avoid fried foods and chocolate.
Diet is not likely to play a part. Best to get a referral to a dermatologist.
