What age should a child see a chiropractor?

My son is 10 years old. I want to know at what age should a child see a chiropractor?

Chiropractors treat patients of all ages. Most will vary their techniques based on the individual. You should see a chiropractor who will take a detailed history and perform a thorough examination before treating.
Most chiropractics adjust their babies when born!! My youngest patient was 6 weeks old. The mother brought her in with projectile vomiting. The pediatrician wanted to give the baby prilosec!!! Yikes! The mother said no way and brought her to me. I gave 2 gentle activator method adjustments and it stopped. I had a 15 month old that only slept 3 hours a night since birth. After about 4 adjustments the baby started sleeping 9 hours a night! Chiropractic is about function of the nervous system!!! Go go go!!! all ages :)

Children can see a chiropractor at any age. The technique will be relative to the patient's size and age, so they can use very light force and gentle maneuvers to help your son! So smart of you to get him checked!

It depends on the chiropractor's training. Some chiros are pediatric trained after they graduate chiropractic college so they see children from birth to adolescence. Chiros like me, who are sports/orthopedic trained, see children at around 5-6ish. This is when they get more active for our specialty. Find yourself a trained chiropractor to take your 10 y.o. to. They will do a thorough evaluation and treatment.
Great question! We see patients of all ages including newborns and infants. Most of the children we get are experiencing trouble with bowel movements, sleep quality, posture, aches and pains after taking a spill in the backyard. Other reasons include sports injuries, car wrecks, sinus issues, shin splints, growing pains, headaches, to increase range of motion, and a lot of trampoline injuries. If there is a specific concern, do not hesitate to ask your local chiropractor by giving them a call.
This is a very interesting question. My answer is at what ever age the parent feels comfortable bringing their child in. There are plenty of chiropractors that specialize in infants and pediatrics. Seeing the chiropractor helps to monitor the child's growth and muscular/skeletal development. The chiropractor can also help assess for scoliosis, which is helpful when caught early to determine the best course of care, either chiropractic, physical therapy or orthopedics.
Hi there! We recommend from birth.
I have treated patients as young as three weeks old mostly for colic, constipation and projectile vomiting. All with good results. It is safe for children of all ages. For your specific question, a child should have regular check-ups once they start walking. This is when gravitational forces will have a direct effect on structural integrity, function, and development of the musculoskeletal system.

Personally, I believe the earlier the better. I’ve safely delivered light force adjustments 100s of times to children. My youngest adjustment was performed on my 2 week old nephew. The birthing process is physically and emotionally stressful and an adjustment is amazing for neutralizing those stressors. If he’s 10, definitely get him there to be checked regularly as chiropractic helps to improve brain and body function. Something we all want for the entirety of our lives.
All children should be checked right after birth.
It is never too early to receive Chiropractic care. Just like going to the Dentist, a Chiropractor can monitor overall spinal health and prevent issues from occurring as well as treating them if they do happen.
