What causes spots on the tip of one's tongue?

My 12-year-old daughter has little, white spots on the tip of her tongue. Are these spots normal? Should we visit a doctor?

They can be cold sores, fungus or other causes. See your dentist
Those white spots could be fugus, probably, candida albicans, which could possibly be brushed off, but may require medication. Your dentist is the one to see to diagnose and treat it.
Yes, just to be sure it is nothing a visit to your dentist to check the lesions.
Normal, usually. If there is no pain or she rubs the backs of her teeth, don't worry. Such will go away over time.
