What should I avoid if I have sciatica?

I am a 17 year old male and I have sciatica. What should I avoid if I have sciatica?

I am a little surprised that a 17 yo would have sciatica. Please see your family Doctor/Pediatrician for assistance.
It's important to seek the help of a good chiropractor when it involves sciatica.
Loss of taste, nausea, diarrhea and cramps
Avoid lifting anything weighing more than 20 lbs, running or jogging, or any motion/movement/maneuver than worsens the pain. Always check with your personal doctor to verify the diagnosis. Follow their instructions because they know you and your circumstances best.
At your age, the cause of sciatica must be congenital or traumatic. Avoid weightlifting activities, but do stretch you back and leg muscles daily. Do not place a wallet in your back pocket. Sit on soft surfaces.

Avoid repetitive bending and heavy lifting. Do back exercises. If symptoms persist, consult with a neurologist.
