Depends on the diagnosis. A complete ophthalmologic exam should be performed.
You can try using artificial tears before you go to sleep and when you wake up. If this doesn't help, consult a physician.
It could be due to extreme dryness and you have punctate corneal lesions. Try wetting your eyes with artifical tears.
