He then went on to complete a fellowship in adolescent medicine at Stanford University Medical Center in Palo Alto, California. From there, Dr. Steinberg completed three subsequent residencies in pediatrics, followed by three subsequent residencies in psychiatry, completing his training in 1988. Dr. Steinberg is a fellow of the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology, as well as a diplomate of the American Board of Adolescent Psychiatry. He has also been the recipient of two Golden Apple Awards for Outstanding Teaching, and his seminar titled Child Psychopharmacology was awarded “Highest Rated Course” ten years in a row. He is affiliated with UCLA Medical Center and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, both located in Los Angeles, California.
