What is Natto?

Natto is a staple food in Japan made from soybeans fermented with Bacillus subtilis. It is usually served with soy sauce, karashi mustard and Japanese bunching onion.

The sodium content is low in natto.

Natto is made from soybeans and needs to be fermented with Bacillus subtilus. It is a traditional Japanese dish.
