I have a gum abscess. Can a gum abscess go away on its own?

It is possible if the source causing the gum abscess is removed or pops out on its own.
Not usually or by itself. It may go away for a bit but will come back. Something, probably periodontal in nature, is causing the issue. Best to see your dentist so the cause can be identified and , hopefully, removed. Mark Johnson
