A cyst on your wrist is a small bump filled with fluid. It’s usually not harmful, but if it hurts or gets in the way, you can:

Use a warm cloth on it to help reduce swelling.
Wear a wrist splint to keep it still.
See a doctor if it doesn’t go away or gets bigger.
For more advice, you can visit Irvine Skin to get it checked out.

You need to see a physician to help diagnose what type of cyst it is. Most commonly, this will be a ganglion cyst which can be treated by a primary care doctor, sports medicine doctor, orthopedic surgeon or dermatologist. Step one get a diagnosis. Then treatment.

Bothersome cysts are best removed surgically. Consult with your local dermatologist or hand surgeon.
