Hello,

Dealing with what causes the anxiety with a licensed psychologist will help reduce the physical symptoms. You may even want to consult with a psychiatrist. In the meantime, read "Anxiety and Phobia Workbook" by Edmund J. Bourne. In case you are in FL, contact me.
Take care and remain safe.

There needs to be more info. Are you blacking out not knowing where you are, accidentally attacking or harming him? Is he triggering something? Is he negative? He should be asking, not you. It is not your fault. Also, talk therapy helps, maybe communication techniques.... Take care of you.
Frequently, even after a first psychotherapy session the symptoms of anxiety, including physical symptoms, greatly diminish. Feeling supported and talking about issues of concern helps. The decision to intent to make changes is empowering.

You'll likely need some help with that. When you notice physical symptoms, your mind is already busy responding to a perceived threat, which is often imagined or expected, rather than seen or heard or smelled. To make matters worse, if we feel threatened by the symptoms themselves, the response is amplified. The physical symptoms will forget to happen if your mind doesn't do that. Often, we are not consciously aware of what set us up to do that, and we don't know how to communicate with our subconscious mind in a way that 1) clears the prior bad experiences or what taught us to expect one, and that 2)helps it to fully realize that that particular emotion is less than useless in the present situation. Even though it was designed and intended to keep us alive, we are rarely dealing with or about to deal with a leopard or a shooter. There are ways of accomplishing that, but it's a professional skill set that most of us don't have.
I hope this is helpful.
Hi,

Thank you for your question. There are many ways to reduce physical symptoms of anxiety. Anxiety reduction and relaxation techniques include deep diaphragmatic breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, grounding exercises, mindfulness meditation, practicing positive mantras or positive self-talk, guided imagery and visualization, and journaling or stream of
consciousness writing.
I hope this has been helpful!

Best,

Try deep breathing by pushing the belly out and holding out for 10 seconds and then release, and doing this exercise in repetitions of three.
