Depends on low low and what elements are low. If there is any question of a blood disease a bone marrow exam is usually appropriate..

Very simple--just have a regular blood count--which includes the number of white blood cells (i.e., every few days to every few months or so depending on the CAUSE and LEVEL of white blood cells).
