First of all, as you are proceeding with a necklift, make sure to ask your own surgeon! No surgery is pain free, but a necklift should have tolerable (functional) discomfort by two weeks postop, and at least for my patients, they are down to using only Tylenol and perhaps supplementing as needed with NSAIDs intermittently (Aleve, Advil, Ibuprofen, etc). Everyones pain tolerance and recovery is different, but do not expect zero pain for at least several days, if not a couple weeks or longer. Nirav B. Hello, The first two weeks are most painful. Afterwards it depends for each patient.
