How long will it take to get biopsy results?

I will have a liver biopsy. How long will it take to get biopsy results?

For liver biopsies, the results should be available in 2-3 days. Depending on what is found on the biopsy, the pathologist may order some additional tests which can be done on the biopsy material, and this may take an extra business day or two. Hope this helps. There is no straight answer to this one. The length of time for a liver biopsy result can range from as little as one day (in cases of certain rush biopsies) to as much as one week or longer if a lot of specialized immunostains are required to be performed. The majority of routine liver biopsies are signed out within 3 working days.
Give it two weeks. Get Outlook for iOS<https://aka.ms/o0ukef>
Biopsies results usually takes from 12 to 24 hours even a week, depending on the findings and if there is any additional tests that might be needed to be performed for the final diagnosis
Results of biopsy of soft tissues are usually available in 1-2 days. If special studies are or consultation is needed, it may take a week or so.
Depends on too many variables. What kind of biopsy? How much processing and special techniques are required to make a diagnosis. Could take 3 to 7 days.
Up to 3 weeks.
