How much should I be moving after hand surgery?

I am a 40 year old male. I want to know how much should I be moving after hand surgery?

Your hand surgeon will have very specific instructions for your movement and restrictions with regard to your particular surgery and the hand that was operated on. The rest of your body should move as you usually would/as much as possible to overcome the effects of anesthesia and risk of blood clots from being sedentary post op. 
Unfortunately, it just depends on the type of operation that you had. Some operations require complete immobilization while others do well with early mobilization. Consult with your surgeon.
