Hello, so first panic attacks and depression are separate things. Symptoms can overlap a lot, but someone can have panic attacks without depression and many people have depression without panic attacks. Acupuncture can help panic attacks handily sometimes. With true significant depression, acupuncture can only be a complementary method, secondary to professional psychological help.

Yes, acupuncture is good for depression, may God bless you to recover from misfortune as soon as possible.
Depression, anxiety, panic attacks, are all things I really love to treat because acupuncture works so well. I've gotten patients off their meds (with the guidance of the physician) with regular acupuncture treatments. Definitely give it a try and stick with it. You'll be so glad you did! (And if you don't have success with the first practitioner, try another acupuncturist. But you must give it time to work.)
If the depression is mild to moderate, studies show acupuncture is just as effective as pharmaceuticals. If it's more severe, you will want to combine acupuncture with meds.

Please make sure you're seeing a board certified, state licensed acupuncturist. To find providers with these credentials in your area, you can go to NCCAOM.org and use their find a practitioner lookup
