Is breo ellipta effective and safe to take for COPD

I am being treated for COPD with BREO ELLIPTA 200-25 even though the prescription information with the medication states three times this medication is not suitable for COPD, however I can not get a clear answer. Is this dangerous? Can I take this medication for COPD?

Breo Elliot’s 100/25 is the dose for maintenance treatment for COPD not for acute symptoms. Because of side effects I would not suggest 200/25 dose.
Use once daily
It is very affective
Yes--breo ellipta is DEFINITELY INDICATED for LONG TERM TREATMENT of COPD (but it can also be used for SHORT TERM TREATMENT of ASTHMA until other asthma medicines have "kicked in")
Breo is a once-daily combination medicine which has been approved by FDA to use in adults with asthma or COPD. It is however designed to reduce inflammation and dilated the airway primarily for Asthma but it has been studied and showed to be effective in COPD as well.
