Is it normal to feel breast implants move?

Breast implants move slightly; when you stand up from a laying down position, they drop a little bit. When you lie down from a standing position, they may drift slightly laterally. Some movement is normal and expected, however, some patients develop excessive movement, which may need to be adjusted surgically.
The answer is yes. You should be instructed to move the implants at least once a day. This prevents the surgical pocket from shrinking and thus making the look and feel abnormal.
In some situations, yes, it is normal to feel breast implants move. If the pocket is larger than the implant, the implant can slide within that pocket. This can provide the appearance of a natural breast if the movement is small as natural breast move and slide. If the movement of the implant results in an abnormal appearing breast or the movement is bothersome and excessive, then I encourage you to see a board-certified plastic surgeon as the implant may be flipping upside down or you may have implant malposition.

It's normal that the implants move. If the breasts are hard or tender, you should consult with a plastic surgeon.

If (as is very often the case), your surgeon inserted your implants behind your pectoral chest muscles, it is absolutely normal to feel and see your implants move when you tense those muscles. Discuss this with your surgeon, because there are good reasons why this trade off is worthwhile.
