Is there an alternative to braces?

I am a 14 year old female. I want to know if there is an alternative to braces?

It depends on what is the goal of the braces. Sometimes cosmetic results can be accomplished with veneers and crowns but many factors have to be considered with alternative care.
Every situation is different, you should discuss with your dentist or orthodontist.
Yes, Clear Correct, Invidalign, Essix retainers, and a whole host of thermoplastic removable "retainers". Complete orthodontia still being the gold standard for optimal results.
Invisalign or similar clear tray system
The alternative to orthodontic conventional bracket braces is Invisalign clear plastic aligner!
There are, but considering your age, it would be more appropriate to treat it conservatively with braces. Other options would be not to do anything or to do crowns or veneers, depending on the case
Yes. Invisalign, no wires on teeth, just appliances.
Invisalign.
Generally what people are asking when they are seeking alternatives to braces, they are thinking about metal braces and metal brackets, which many patients think are unsightly. When we speak to patients about alternatives, it includes two different directions. The first is going with clear tray aligners such as Invisalign. These are worn 24/7 and move the teeth through amazing technology that is a less obvious orthodontic method. The second option is what Dr. Mastro refers to as instant orthodontics using porcelain crowns to straighten teeth. It is a one-step procedure and provides immediate aesthetic and functional results. Both options require a consult with your dentist to determine which is the best option.

Absolutely. Our office is an Invisalign provider. This could be an ideal alternative to traditional braces.

Thanks and good luck.

Yes, the most common alternative is Invisalign. There are plastic trays that you change periodically rather than traditional metal braces.

Clear aligners or a positioner if your teeth aren't too malaligned.
