Hello, Sorry to hear that you are suffering from Insomnia.  Besides seeing a Psychologist who specializes in Hypnotherapy you may also want to consult your PCP.  In case you are in FL then contact me.
 Take care and remain safe.
Yes, by all means: Cognitive-behavioral Therapy for insomnia (CBTi) is the most effective treatment for insomnia. But first, make sure your sleeping problems are not secondary to something else. A sleep center should rule out obstructive sleep apnea, your primary care provider should rule out, for example, a thyroid disorder.
I recommend first ruling out medical issues that might be causing your insomnia. You could start with your MD and then if it’s not caused by a medical reason the next step would be seeing a psychologist.

There are many directions you could go with this problem – sleep specialists, your primary care doc, psychologist...If it were I, I would start with a psychologist and ask for an evaluation for insomnia. If that person is experienced in this area, they would be able to either treat you themselves or direct you to the more appropriate clinician. Just be prepared for a lot of questions!
No. See a doctor.
