Vomiting?

My 11 year old daughter has been vomiting nonstop for over 48 hours while taking Zofran to help but it has not helped at all. She can't even keep down water for more than a few seconds what should I do?

Most cases will resolve with resting the bowels. At 11, she could stop eating and drinking for 8 hours safely. Then, start with just clear liquids like water, then gatorade or similar...slow sips at a time. If that is tolerated, she can increase the volume of intake. After a day or so of this, bland foods like rice, cream of wheat, plain pasta...then after a day of that, regular food. If you have tried all that strictly and she is still vomiting, she probably needs an IV for fluids, but only a practitioner with experience who has physically examined her can make that determination.
I'm sorry to hear that your daughter has been ill. Vomiting can certainly lead to dehydration, which can have possible consequences, some of which can be severe. Please contact you provider/pediatrician immediately.
Might be an acute infectious gastroenteritis. Go to ER if she is getting dehydrated. Otherwise, give pedialyte, fluids and slowly advance diet as tolerated.
