Because your teeth are being focussed through your bone. The pressure causing the pain, it will go away in 3-5 days.
Your question about pain is a bit vague. If , for example, you're experiencing pain for the first 1-3 days due to the tightness of a new set of aligners and you are still in the early phase of your treatment, that's normal in some instances. That's the feeling of your ligaments surrounding the roots of your teeth being compressed and signaling the bone surrounding to begin to allow your teeth to actively shift. This feeling diminishes as you progress in your treatment.
Discomfort when putting in new retainers is normal, it's this pressure that tells you the teeth are moving. If there are sores on your gum they should be looked at to get adujusted
Because your teeth are moving!
The Invisalign moves your teeth and that’s why you feel discomfort. It is very typical. A couple of Advil/Motrin will help with the pain.
It is to be expected to experience minor pain when wearing the Invisalign. The discomfort comes from the pressure placed on teeth when aligning them. Should the pain become unbearable, please contact your dentist.
Thank you.

It's normal to feel pain or pressure with your Invisalign since the trays are designed to slowly, but surely move your teeth the correct position.
Because the aligner is exerting a continuous pressure on your teeth in order to move them.
Pressure from the aligners is needed to move teeth. If you have 'pain.’ you should consult with your orthodontist to determine, as this may be the expected amount of discomfort, given the needed movement of your teeth. Additionally, you should have good homecare (brushing and flossing).
