I believe so. I suggest you try acupuncture, massage and herbs for a couple of sessions to see. If it is helping then. you should continue treatments.

Acupuncture helps reduce inflammation in the tissues and the nerves. It is an excellent procedure to choose to reduce neuropathy without any side effects.

Yes, I have been able to use acupuncture to help patients with neuropathy of the feet. Chronic conditions may take a while before effect is felt, but check with your primary to see if you are a good candidate for alternative treatment.

Hello, thanks so much for reaching out!

Neuropathy in the feet is a hard one. Sometimes patients respond well, and sometimes they don’t see much benefit - it's very much a case by case basis for that condition. If the neuropathy is new we are more likely to make progress, if it is has been chronic for many years at the very least I would recommend giving at least 6 sessions a try before determining that it isn’t helping. Generally speaking, neuropathy related to blood sugar issues and chemotherapy tend to respond better than idiopathic neuropathies (the “we don’t know why you have it, but you do” type of issue) in my experience. No matter what, there’s no harm in giving acupuncture a try - it can help so much with stress, pain and inflammation if nothing else it can help you stay calm and relaxed, and it can boost your immune system. If you have tried many other things and they haven’t worked, it's a good next step intervention that can’t hurt you.

Yours in health,

Absolutely! I actually treat a lot of people with neuropathy and get great results!
Certainly! I have had very good results treating peripheral neuropathy in my practice, and there are numerous studies on the benefits of acupuncture for neuropathy.
Yes, Acupuncture can help. It helps to move Qi and blood, so as to improve your circulation. It also helps to repair nerves, etc. by delivering key nutrients, etc. to the area. Chinese Medicine Theory looks at neuropathy as an issue that is caused by an obstruction of the flow of Qi. So, yes it can be helpful. However, it is not a one visit fix. Treatment plans usually involve 6-10 visits. I see patients at least 2 times per week for the first week to two weeks. Based on how well things are improving will determine frequency of visits as well as the number of visits. The goal is to get your body back to its natural, balanced state, so it can function efficiently and keep you healthy. Felt free to reach out if you have more questions. Thank you.
Yes but may not fix completely
It usually can, yes.
Yes, but in my experience, it takes a long time to get neuropathy pain to go down and stay down.

It depends on what is causing the neuropathy, how long it has been a problem, and what else is going on with a person. Is this connected to diabetes? Does a person have a back injury? I find a combination of acupuncture and laser to be the most effective for neuropathy in the feet.
Acupuncture and herbs can be really helpful for neuropathy.
Most people will seek acupuncture after failing to respond to Gabapentin.
Yes, acupuncture is the great method to help with neuropathy in the feet. Using meridians likes network, they work effectively to help heal nerves from inflammation and burning pain sensation.
Usually, yes, acupuncture can offer relief for foot neuropathy. In diabetic neuropathy, it can sometimes be difficult to get traction if the blood sugar isn't under control.

In a case like this, it's important to make sure you're seeing a nationally board certified and state licensed acupuncturist. You'll be looking for an L.Ac./R.Ac. credential combined with Dipl Ac/Dipl OM board certification. To find local providers you can use the "Find a Practitioner" lookup at NCCAOM.org
It can. Acupuncture can treat both the neuropathy due to diabetes, and neuropathy due to damage from injury to the feet or the lower back.
