Yes, absolutely. We do that everyday.
Cavities are most commonly seen either in the grooves on the biting surfaces of teeth or in between the teeth.
To access this area of decay a Dentist uses either a drill or laser from the biting surface and makes a hole just large enough to remove the diseased tooth structure.
The hole is then filled with either a tooth colored plastic material (composite) or a silver colored metal (amalgam).
It is perhaps the most common procedure a Dentist performs.
Yes, it is possible to fill cavities that form in between your teeth. Since cavities can form on any surface of your teeth, it is not uncommon to have cavities form in between. This is one reason that it is important to include flossing into your daily oral hygiene routine.

Yes, Dentists can fill cavities that occur between teeth, but sometimes have to remove some healthy tooth structure to gain access to the cavity. It is important to remove all the decay and place the filling material onto healthy tooth structure.
Yes we commonly restore teeth by placing a filling on 2 surfaces of a tooth that will close a space between 2 teeth
Hello,

Yes, dentist fill cavities between teeth. This is a large part of the cavities that we fill. These are cavities that we usually associated with inadequately flossing. It is done by strategically picking the location to start and going down the side of the tooth until we get to the cavity. Then they remove the cavity, any decay that might be there from the bacteria and then fill it. Hope this helps.

My best to you!

Teeth with cavities between the teeth can be filled. Correct flossing and brushing prevents cavities from forming on all teeth surfaces. Plaque that sticky whitish mass of bacteria forms every day. Whether we eat or not plaque forms.
If plaque is not removed every day plaque will crystallize in 24 to 48 hours. In your saliva you have calcium and that calcium will harden.. hardened calcium is called CALCULUS or TARTAR. TARTAR AND PLAQUE ARE TWO DIFFERENT LAYERS. PLAQUE BACTERIA CAUSES THE MOST DAMAGE. PLAQUE BACTERIA CAN PENETRATE TARTAR AND GETS CLOSE TO YOUR TEETH. PLACQUE BACTERIA INITIATES YOUR BODY'S IMMUNE RESPONSE. TARTAR IS MORE OF AN PHYSICAL IRRITANT. PLAQUE BACTERIA CAUSES A CHEMICAL CASCADE THAT SLOWLY DISSOLVES TOOTH SUPPORTING MEMBRANES AND BONE.
Yes. Many caries occur between teeth.
