Can LASIK be used to change iris color?

I wear color-changing contact lenses for my job, but they scratch and irritate my eyes when I wear them for extended periods of time. Is it possible to change your eye color permanently with LASIK?

LASIK surgery is strictly a refractive procedure. It is only used to correct Myopia, Hyperopia and Astigmatism. It does not change the color of your iris.
No, LASIK changes the curvature of the cornea, the curved crystal clear window at the front of the eye. It does not reach the colored area of the iris.

There is no legitimate, safe, medically approved procedure or medication that can effectively change the color of your iris without potentially causing serious damage within the eye.

Of all the attributes of your body, the color of your iris ranks as one of the most trivially insignificant. Don't mess with a healthy structure for cosmetic purposes.
I am sorry to hear about the difficulty with your contact lenses. You are not alone. In fact, millions of people ever year have to discontinue contact lenses due to intolerance. Thankfully, LASIK is an option for many people just like you, and it does not change your eye color. That being said, there is a technology that may be available in the coming years that can do so, but it is not FDA approved at this time.

No, LASIK cannot be used to intentionally change the color of your iris. If performed properly and without complications, LASIK would sharpen vision and decrease dependence on glasses but the cornea would remain clear.
No. Corneal tattoo is possible but unsafe.
No. LASIK is on the clear cornea. The iris is inside the eye.

No. LASIK uses laser to change the cornea, not the iris. The iris is the colored portion of the eye, not the cornea.
LASIK will not change eye color. There are some investigational lasers, which are not yet FDA-approved, which have been used to lighten eye color.
