I am a 29 year old female. I want to know if a septoplasty changes your nose appearance?

Typically, this does not change the appearance of the nose. However, each case is different and there are many factors that would need to be considered prior to doing a Septoplasty. A septoplasty is normally performed to improve the nasal airway or breathing through the nose and does not necessarily change the appearance. However a rhinoplasty which does change the appearance can be performed at the same time as a septoplasty.

Septoplasty does not change the appearance of the nose. It is common to have cosmetic work done at the same time to change the appearance of the nose when desired.
Thanks for your question. A septoplasty, by definition, only changes the shape of the wall that divides the two sides of the nose. Sometimes, straightening a septum can straighten the overall shape of the nose if that's what is causing the deviation. Traditionally, a "rhinoplasty" is necessary to reshape the outside of a nose.

If done correctly, the outside shape of your nose should not change with a septoplasty.
