It’s similar to a FaceTime or Zoom experience. The difference is that your therapist will hopefully give you a link to his/her HIPPA compliant platform.
You call a place and let them know you want virtual. They should be able to walk you through the process. You will just have to download the app they are using.
Yes it does.
It is quite similar to actual visit. two platforms, phone and video, you can choose one of them. The physician will see you for the same amount of time for physical visit, then send a script to your pharmacy and labs order to your lab (if any). Will maintain a record of your visit in the electronic health record. All that is totally secured and confidential according to HIPAA regulation.

Hi,

Thank you for your question. Virtual counseling is an effective form of telehealth treatment in which the therapist will use a HIPAA compliant platform (such as Doxy.me) to communicate with the client through a smartphone, laptop, or tablet. It is similar to speaking with someone over Facetime, Zoom, or Skype where you will be able to see and hear the person via the device's audio/video technology.
I hope this information has been helpful!

Hello. Great Question. The process is fairly simple though each clinic may use a different portal. You log in and have a face to face remote sessions. I always suggest that clients are in a space that is private and comfortable for them so that your information is safe.
Hello and thank you for reaching out. Virtual therapy depending on the therapist can vary. Sessions may be the same as if you were in person, the only difference is you are communicating online. I have been told by some clients that they prefer it to in-person and some clients state that they do not like it, because of the lack of connection.
You make contact with a counselor.
Often you will link up with a counseling professional, they will review the procedures and specifics of the telemental health services. You will be prompted to engage on a HIPPA compliant platform, utilizing a smart phone, tablet or computer. It is safe way to seek assistance and provides the safety and comfort of your home during trying times like COVID.
Hello,

So, virtual counseling is a bit harder, but is becoming more of the norm due to the virus and restrictions we have a providers. Providers use many different platforms to conduct their sessions, but it is just like any other video chat such as facetime or the old skype. I feel it would be a good option for you, especially because it would allow you to be in a comfortable space.

Hello and thank you for your question,

Virtual therapy is basic teletherapy, which is held via videoconference. A videoconference can be conducted on any device that has a camera (cell phone, laptop, computer).

Thank you,

Just call your provider and arrange for it. It is no big deal.
