How often should you use eye drops for dry eyes?

I am a 30 year old female and I have dry eyes. How often should you use eye drops for dry eyes?

How often you should use the drops depends upon the reason you have dry eyes and they type of drops your are using. Therefore, it's a complicated question. If you are finding you must use the drops more than every 2 - 3 hours during the colder winter months, when the humidity is quite low, you should see your ophthalmologist to determine a better solution than just using drops, or possibly changing the type of drops you are using. Unfortunately, I can't be more specific, since the underlying reason for your dry eyes is very important to the answer.
If you buy preservative-free drops, you can use as often as you need. The ones with preservatives (as indicated on the box or bottles) should not be used more than 4 times daily!
