Ophthalmologist Questions Depth perception test

What is the depth perception test?

My 9-year-old daughter came home from school yesterday and said the nurse had given her some tests, including vision. She said that she failed the 'depth perception test'. What is the depth perception test?

Stereoscopic Vision is basically 3-D Vision. We have tests that have various degrees of 3-D images and can help determine if the eyes are working together or independent of each other. Common causes of decreased stereo vision are an eye turn or largely different refractive error between the two eyes that has not been corrected for in glasses or contacts.
Depth perception is a test for 3d vision like 3d movies it gives a depth component to the mage. Also called stereo vision. You might want to bring her to an ophthalmologist to make sure she does not have a lazy eye
A simple perception test is to show patients test plates that show images of a fly or an animal that looks in 3D to those with depth perception but looks flat to those with poor depth perception.
This test measured your child's eyes as not being used equally or simultaneously. One eye is apparently dominant over the other eye. However, a school nurse vision screening indicates the need for an actual eye exam with your doctor.

Your daughter needs to see 3D! This is literally depth perception, which can be tested with some tests at your eye doctor's office.
