What's the best oil for a massage?
Hello! So many essential oils out there. Each having their own benefits. Ranging from energizing, relaxing to even pain reducing aromatherapy such as Copabai oil. If you want to relax though, I'd pick lavender, sage, and chamomile. So many to pick from through. I use Do Terra oils. READ MORE

I would massage the flexors/extensors of your arm from the elbow down. You also have triceps and bicep attachments near the elbow. You might be able to do this at home as well. READ MORE
Should I see a chiropractor or massage therapist first?
If your issue is bones, see a chiro. If the issue is muscles, see a massage therapist. Your're 25, which is young, but I don't know if you lift heavy things, do crossfit, what your job is, etc. I'd get a massage to loosen things up and then see the chiro. READ MORE
Which is better for Costochondritis, massage or dry needling?
Massage to your intercostals (the muscles between your ribs) and pecs could help. A chiro can also help since it's inflammation of the rib joints. READ MORE

What are the benefits of massage for seniors?
I love this question! Massage for seniors is important! Seniors are frankly not touched as much as they used to be. Not to mention sometimes not as active. Getting massage gives them somewhere to go and someone to talk to. All the typical massage benefits apply physically. READ MORE

Do the effects of a deep tissue massage last longer?
Thank you for your question! I would not start your massage treatments with deep pressure massage. It's best to start out conservative and then push little by little to see what your injury will handle/tolerate. That way we don't cause spasms or other side effects from the massage. READ MORE
Can massage therapy treat muscle pain?
Hi there! Thank you for your question. If your hand pain is soft tissue disfunction then yes! Hand massage is great, but you hand pain is most likely not coming from your hand. Does falling asleep during a massage make it difficult for my therapist?

Why is it recommended to drink water after a massage?
Water keeps your soft tissues hydrated which promotes healing and flexibility. After a deeper pressure massage there will be some healing that goes on which will be prolonged in someone who is dehydrated. READ MORE
Is there such a thing as "too much pressure" in massage therapy?
Oh my goodness the answer is yes! Just because a massage is deep in pressure doesn't mean it's more effective. I always go for technique over pressure which is why finding an educated therapist is important. Going to deep can actually cause tissue damage and even spasms. You should never be uncomfortably jumping off the table because you think deep is best. Some of my clients simply like the deep pressure which is fine but it's always on the that "hurts so good" spectrum. I hope this helps! READ MORE
Rash on back after massage therapy?
I know your pain! I have severe allergies and am limited to certain products. It sounds like you have a little sensitivity to the essential oils. I would follow up with an allergist to find out what exactly it is. I hope this helped! READ MORE
Can a massage actually hurt my back?
Hi there, Our muscles are very reactive as they should be. If you were not very hydrated and it had been a while since your last massage yes It's very normal to be sore up to 2 or 3 days after your therapy. I actually had a massage yesterday and I'm feeling it when the back of a chair hits my back. If It's hurting "pretty bad" though your therapist may have gone to deep. READ MORE
