Share What It Is Like to Live with an Invisible Illness

Fibromyalgia has a lot of misconceptions attached to it. What do you wish people understood about fibromyalgia?
That every day is a sheer challenge. Getting up can be like climbing a brick wall. You have to get past the pain to act even close to normal, every task is difficult, every moment you are trying to get past the illness and not let it show. We do not ask for it. It is not an excuse to not work. It is hell on earth.
Has any one told you that "you don't look sick?"
Yes, all the time, that sinks down to your toes and only leaves the shame that people seem to want to dump on you.
Tell us, who is your biggest support system while coping with fibromyalgia?
I now have medical cannabis legally, which does help, but it has not taken it away. It (fibro) is like living with a devil every day that wants to torment you body, mind and soul.
