Acupuncturist Questions Acupuncture

Is acupuncture helpful in boosting fertility?

I want to have a baby within the next 2-4 years. I've heard from a few people that acupuncture can help before I get pregnant. Is this true?

Yes- most of my practice is fertility support. Starting as early as you are starting is amazing. You should notice improvements in your cycle immediately and continuing treatment will help with a beautiful pregnancy and delivery.
Yes, acupuncture has helped many fertility issues. Well worth trying.
This is definitely true. Acupuncture is very effective to treat infertility, irregular periods, PMS, hormonal imbalances, and even PSOS and endometriosis. Usually, your acupuncturist will also recommend the use of herbal medicine to help with the process.
Absolutely! And it can help ensure that your child is healthier and stronger as well, according to my experience and opinion. I would also consider continuing to have acupuncture during the pregnancy. Make sure you start with a fully trained acupuncturist (not an MD or Chiropractor that did minimal hours of training to get a license).
Yes it is true acupuncture can help your body become a healthier and balanced vessel for new life to flourish
Acupuncture can help strengthen the body and blood and prepare the womb. We can increase egg quality and fertility as well.
Yes it definitely can help. I would suggest getting treatment with your partner and allowing 3 months at a minimum for preconception planning.
If ovulation is normal and you are not pregnant, you can help with acupuncture and herbal medicine. The typical cause of infertility is:

1. The uterus is cold
2. The uterus is short of blood
3. The uterus is too fat
4. The physiology is irregular, etc.

This is well restored with acupuncture and herbal medicine. So it can be pregnant.
Acupuncture can help increase fertility as well as be helpful in many different ways after one becomes pregnant.
Acupuncture has a great success rate for enhancing fertility and can also promote a woman's general health before getting pregnant. Acupuncture helps reduce excess stress which can affect reproductive hormones, increases blood flow to the sexual organs and balances the endocrine system. However, some medical problems cannot be addressed with acupuncture, such as tubal adhesions.
You are correct! Acupuncture is frequently used to help with fertility as well as to reduce the anxiety often found as you start trying.
Yes, it can, but I recommend herbal treatment for better results. Your acupuncturist will ask about your menstrual cycle, color, amount, clots, ovulation fluid, etc.
Yes. Acupuncture, usually recommended with Chinese herbal supplements, will help to boost fertility. In this procedure, Acupuncture will help to regulate the menstrual periods, adjusting hormonal levels, releasing anxiety. In my practice, herbs is always combined.

Yes, I think so.
Yes! Good results with herbs, too.
Thank you for your question.

The question I would have is, are there issues with fertility in the first place? If there are, then that needs to be medically evaluated first. In a general sense, reducing stress can help with fertility and pregnancy maintenance, and acupuncture can help with stress reduction.

Without knowing your specific health history, this is not really a question that can be answered adequately with a general answer. If for any reason you choose acupuncture for your current health, be sure to let your acupuncturist know that you are working on achieving pregnancy, as well as if you become pregnant, as there are certain acupuncture points we do not use during pregnancy and at certain times of pregnancy.

Yes, it does help
We have many patients that were able to get pregnant with acupuncture. Some people had tried other procedures before starting acupuncture and the results were negative. Acupuncture and herbal medicine help to regulate women's reproductive system and it becomes easier for them to get pregnant.

Yes, acupuncture can help fertility by more circulation and hormone balance.
Hi,

It depends on several factors, but, yes, acupuncture is very successful in helping people to get pregnant.
Chinese Medicine has been used for thousands of years to increase the chances of pregnancy.
Acupuncture can address infertility by reducing stress, balancing the endocrine system (hormones), and increasing blood flow to the reproductive organs. Due to the increase in blood flow to the uterus and reproductive organs, there is an increase of proper nourishment to the egg, thus, increasing chances of being carried to full term.

We've been successful in helping many women get pregnant. We hope you give it a try!
Acupuncture is very helpful in increasing fertility. Especially when done by an acupuncture physician who is well-versed in fertility. Also very important are Chinese herbal medicine, to help strengthen the body's natural functions, and nutrition. A special micronutrient test can and should be done 6 months before you begin trying in order to give your body the time it needs to fill in the nutrient deficiencies you have. And you do have nutrient deficiencies; everyone does. The key is learning which.
I am not a specialist to treat fertility issues, but I have spoken to a couple of doctors who are successful to help couples. My recommendation for both of you to consult with your doctor to see the actual cause. Diet, exercise, lifestyle change, less stress can help. Thanks.
Yes, Acupuncture is known for helping with fertility. We have had a high success rate here at Eastern Medical Center in Pleasanton for fertility. Acupuncture can help with fertility by increasing blood flow to the reproductive system that allow the reproductive organs and the body to conceive for healthy and easy pregnancy
We have assisted over 150 families with a 95% success rate. Today, we are helping lots of Obgyn's in treating infertility.
Yes, before, during and after pregnancy! I have three children myself, all big babies, and I’ve sworn that having acupuncture before and during the pregnancies was the reason my labors were so quick and, dare I say, “relatively” easy. Acupuncture improves circulation, improves organ function, relaxes the body, reduces inflammation and thereby increases general health and mental outlook. There’s nothing better for mom and baby than that, as far as I’m aware.
Yes. Acupuncture can help you get pregnant a variety of ways. It can help through relaxing you by treating stress, the herbs can help strengthen your body and recommendations from your acupuncturist can help you have a more comfortable pregnancy while shortening the recovery period after birth.
You betcha! There are many ways acupuncture can treat infertility - both with body acupuncture and ear acupuncture. There are also protocols that can be used for IVF. Try calling around and find someone who has had success in the area. Lots of acupuncturists are even specializing in it.

Good luck!!
It really depends on many factors, i.e. age, proper menstrual cycles, family genetics, etc. but acupuncture has helped many women get pregnant when other systems have failed. It can help regulate menstrual cycles, reduce stress, build blood quality, promote ovulation, etc.

Since your plan is in the future, I believe you can start now to get your body in shape, work on proper diet, exercise, lifestyle maintenance, et al and work toward creating a body a baby can grow in. Also be sure to have your male counterpart keep up with proper diet, emotional health, lifestyle adjustments and maintain a healthy body so there will be good synergy between you.

Good luck
Yes, acupuncture has been shown to benefit fertility. Most of the studies have been done with in vitro fertilization and acupuncture being used as an adjunct. Fertility is not an area I typically work in, but I have several colleagues who've been very successful helping couples get pregnant.

If this is something you decide to pursue, make sure you have a conversation with potential acupuncturists and find someone who specializes in this field.
Acupuncture for fertility support or infertility treatment has been practiced for over a thousand year in Asia. In the last two decades, many studies were done in the States found that acupuncture can help increasing pelvic blood flow, stimulating ovulation and reducing pelvic inflammation in general. As a result, it can improve the success rate of the fertility procedures such as IUI as well as IVF double compared the procedures without acupuncture. We almost see this type of people if not daily but weekly. Some fertility clinics hire in-house acupuncturists to improve the outcome.
Yes, acupuncture can help boosting fertility. Please have lab test of your sexual hormone levels (FSH, LH, Estrogen and Progesterone) before you see the acupuncturist.
Yes, Acupuncture can help to boost your constitution, your reproductive health and better prepare your body to be able to get pregnant as well as maintain the pregnancy. In the body, all systems must be balance to be able to function harmoniously. Situations such as stress, lifestyle etc. can throw the system off balance and make it difficult for one to get pregnant. Acupuncture has been proven to help many conditions including, getting the body prepared for the pregnancy, maintain a healthy pregnancy and all the way through out childbirth and thereafter. I would highly recommend that you find a licensed Acupuncture Physician in your area, who specializes in fertility and get a consultation to see if they can help you with this important subject. Good luck!
