Is acupuncture safe during the first trimester?

I'm currently in my first trimester of pregnancy and I want to try acupuncture to help my body prepare for pregnancy. But is the first trimester too early to get acupuncture? Is it safe?

Acupuncture treatment is okay, but should avoid putting needles on some points, otherwise, it will cause abortion.
There are certain points that are contraindicated during pregnancy, acupuncture itself is not contraindicated, in fact it help with morning sickness and nausea
Yes- it is completely safe. There are certain acupuncture points to be avoided during pregnancy but your practitioner will know about those points. Most of the treatments during pregnancy are used to create peace and calmness in the body. The treatments can also be used for nausea, to help keep a healthy pregnancy and to boost the immune system.
Acupuncture is safe throughout your entire pregnancy. Obviously, we avoid points on the lower abdomen and there are a few other points we do not use as they can induce labor, turn the baby, etc. So long as an acupuncturist avoids strong stimulation on these points, you are perfectly safe.
It is true that the chance of have a miscarriage is highest during the 1st trimester. It is definitely important to be very cautious of what you choose to do to your body during this time, I completely understand.
Acupuncture IS SAFE TO RECEIVE DURING THE FIRST TRIMESTER.

But (there's always a but)... it is important to let your acupuncturist know that you MAY BE pregnant. It is also important to let your acupuncturist know when you are pregnant. Acupuncture is very safe, and it is important that you know there are acupuncture points contraindicated during pregnancy.
It is important that your acupuncturist is aware of these points and you can easily google "acupuncture points contraindicated for pregnancy" to educate yourself as well!
There are also many herbal formulas contraindicated for pregnancy. However, please understand that not all herbal formulas are bad for you while pregnant. Because most herbal products are in fact....food!
Generally speaking, it is rather safe to have acupuncture during pregnancy. Please make sure though to mention to your acupuncturist that you are pregnant before the treatment.
Yes. Acupuncture is safe, but your acupuncturist will avoid certain acupuncture points throughout your entire pregnancy. If your acupuncturist is not aware that your are pregnant, make sure you inform them.
It depends if you have a history of abortion, autoimmune disease, or cardiovascular disease. Other factors that is significant is bleeding disorder and family history. I would advise you find an acupuncturist who specializes in treating OGBYN conditions.
It is generally regarded that way. But, depending on the practitioner, all cases are not treated the same. I see first trimester patients who need help not to go through miscarriage, nausea, etc.
Acupuncture can be done throughout the entire pregnancy. Be sure to choose an acupuncturist who is familiar with treating pregnant women, however, as certain acupuncture points are forbidden during pregnancy as they can stimulate uterine contractions
Acupuncture is safe at any and all stages of pregnancy. We are carefully trained to know how to avoid any injury, and I have treated gals throughout for whatever things they needed, including morning sickness, inducing labor, and turning breach babies. So go ahead. Start whenever you would like. You and your baby will be happy you did!
Acupuncture is generally safe, but I personally refuse to see pregnant patients until they are in their second trimester. Especially if the pregnancy is a first, please play it safe and wait until end of 4th or 5th month. And more importantly, find a fertility specialist acupuncturist.
During the first trimester, women usually experience morning sicknesses such as nausea or vomiting and fatigue. If it is the case, acupuncture is very effective without drugs.
Acupuncture is helpful in any trimester and can even be used to assist the birthing process. Any well trained Licensed Acupuncturist will know points to avoid during pregnancy. If you have had difficult pregnancies in the past, be sure to let your L.Ac. know that. If this is your first pregnancy let them know that too. If your baby is already doing well, the acupuncture really won't be damaging, if it is a difficult pregnancy, the acupuncture can help and again, a trained professional will know what would be more helpful and avoid anything potentially harmful.

Key thing is to always stay in communication with your practitioners.

Good luck and happy motherhood.
It is safe as long as the physician knows you're pregnant.
Generally speaking, acupuncture is safe throughout pregnancy. We have techniques for helping women get pregnant, manage pain and other issues during pregnancy, we even have techniques for helping to turn breech presentation at the end of pregnancy.
