I have nausea after general anesthesia. Is nausea common after anesthesia?

Ask your anesthesia personal give you Odansetron ( Zofran )before any sedation.
In my practice it worked like a charm .As Zofran blocks the nausea receptors and therefore no nausea or minimal nausea

Nausea is not Un common after General Anesthesia. Nausea and vomiting depends on many factors . Length of the surgery , use of narcotics can cause more nausea , abdominal surgeries can cause more nausea . Also some people are more sensitive to nausea . Recent food intake can cause nausea

There are some excellent drugs, such as Zofran) which can be given prophylactically which often will block the nausea. Zofran is very effective in the recovery room, os well, if a patient exhibits nausea.
