After the stent you need to make sure that your blood pressure is well controlled, you cholesterol and blood sugar are within normal range and quit smoking if you are currently a smoker. These factors should improve the patency of the stents.
Things that could make you have trouble with bleeding. I would ask your cardiologist who placed the stent.
You should consult your cardiologist. Same precaution as for heart condition. No smoking. Proper diet. Exercise regularly. Medications for BP and Diabetes. Weight control. Baby Aspirin.
You should have received post procedure instructions. Avoid strenuous exercise, lifting heavy objects. Avoid sex for about a week. Watch the area where the catheter went in for possible infection. You may be placed on anti-platelet medications, take your meds as instructed. Avoid swimming or bathing for a week.
Good luck.
Talk to your doctor about the medications after the stent. They might modify what you can do and eat.
Avoid straining your arm or leg where procedure was done, otherwise you are good to go!
