Can lack of sleep cause eye pain?

I am a 17 year old male and I have been sleeping poorly. Can lack of sleep cause eye pain?

Lack of sleep can cause eyelid spasms or twitches, redness, and/or irritation.
Short answer is yes
Yes.
Hello, the answer is indirectly yes; however the underlying cause of the pain with lack of sleep is most likely a dry ocular surface and frequent lubrication with OTC artificial tears, especially before bed, can help.
Yes, mainly due to dry eyes. You need some time with eyes closed daily for optimal eye health. Excess drying due to chronic exposure can cause discomfort. Try using lubricating artificial tears and avoid extended wear contact lenses if you are temporarily short on sleep.

Yes. Your eyes need rest and sleep gives more time with closed eyes
