Compulsive Sexual Behavior

I am a 66 year old female. I have been happily married for 46 years. I cheated on my husband with 2 different men. I am ashamed and my husband has problems now having sex with me. Give me some insight that I need to know if it goes away after menopause.

At age 66 I would presume that you are past menopause. If not, you may want to start with a thorough examination by your gynecologist.

Compulsive Sexual Behavior can be treated by a mental health professional with an expertise in this arena. If there are no underlying physical issues, I highly recommend you have a consultation with such a person.

Also, consider seeing an MH professional who specializes in sexual compulsions and has a handle on post-menopausal behavior.
You need individual and couples therapy to work with you and your husband.
Condition is treatable, see psychiatrist. It might get a little better after the menopause if the cause is hormonal. Most likely it is mood instability, but needs proper evaluation.
