Is it possible for children to get fibromyalgia?

My daughter is constantly complaining of pain but her pediatrician cannot find the source. The pain is chronic, and it seems debilitating for her. I have fibromyalgia, and was diagnosed with it two years ago. I heard that it can be passed down. Can children get fibromyalgia?

Yes, it is true children can get fibromyalgia (aka amplified pain syndrome). I would recommend further evaluation by a pediatric rheumatologist to rule out other causes of her pain as the diagnosis of fibromyalgia is once everything else has been excluded.
The process of fibromyalgia gets on muscles and causes pain. Please eat a diet to help. Please see your Doctor for therapy and pain medicine.
