Ophthalmologist Questions Eye care

Since getting new glasses, my eyes have been watering almost constantly. Why is this?

I got new glasses about 3 weeks ago, and since wearing them my eyes seem to be watering constantly. Why would this be happening?

Tearing after a new prescription is not terribly common but can be related to unrelated issues such as dry eye, or on occasion because of mild eye strain related to adapting to the new prescription. You should discuss your symptoms with your prescribing eye specialist and have the dispensing optician confirm that the glasses were made to the prescription specifications and that the lenses are accurately aligned in front of each eye.
Try taking your glasses off when you are tearing. If the tearing stops soon after, then your glasses are the cause. They could be wrongly centered, not fitting correctly, etc. See your optometrist for a review or have new glasses fitted.
You need to go back to the place that did the prescription/made the glasses to make sure they are the right correction for you.
