Dentist Questions Dental Braces

How long would It ideally take to get teeth aligned with the help of braces?

My daughter has a lot of spacing between her teeth and we are trying to get braces for proper alignment. How long does the treatment with braces normally last?

Once brace treatment is completed, it is completed. Except, If you have consulted dentists for brace treatment and you were told that your daughter has wisdom teeth that need to be removed. You should be shown where these teeth are located. You may not see them in your daughter's mouth yet. There are many patients who have had braces, did not have their wisdom teeth removed. Besides the severe pain from pressure, all their teeth have moved and perhaps you see crowding of the front teeth.
Those 4 wisdom teeth have moved all those teeth out of line. The pain from pressure and the teeth no longer in their correct place is a high price to pay. The second exception is if your daughter developed a habit that could cause her teeth to move. Following your doctor's instructions: keep the braces clean, and have the wisdom teeth removed if advised. Your daughter should have no problems.
It depends on how large are the spaces! On average a year to two! She might qualify for invisalign which is more predictable and you would know exactly how long
It really depends on the patient's age and amount of tooth movements that’s needed. At least 6 months, but it could take a long time. A consultation with an Ortho specialist is a must.
The timeline for braces is impossible to predict without seeing the patient. Factors that affect it are the severity of crowding/spacing, the type of appliance being used, the child’s age, and the compliance. Wish I could give you a less vague answer. Good luck.

Depends on your problem; anywhere from 6 months to 4 years.
Different from cases to case. Aligning the teeth and fitting the two jaws together add another layer treatment usually takes between 6 month to 2 years. Sometimes longer if surgery is indicated for aligning the jaws
Treatment with braces can be from 12-24 months depending on the degree of difficulty of the case.
Most of treatment of this kind last around 18 months.

Depends on a lot of individual factors that affect the treatment length, as age, frequency of braces adjustments, etc.
The length of treatment varies from patient to patient and can take 6 months to 2 years..
Every case Is completely different but typically for a case with spacing in the 6-12 month range.
You can’t say without an evaluation by a qualified dentist.

There are many variables
This typically takes between 1-2 years for treatment. It can last for a very long time but this is pending g patient compliance with wearing retainers.
This depends on the severity of the spacing and if she has any other occlusion issues. Typically prepare for 1 year of treatment.
Every case is different. As an invisalign provider cases can range from less than 6 months to 2 years. once again depending on severity of malocclusion(bite)..everyone unique
Depending upon the extent and location of the spacing treatment can take six to twentyfour months. Best to have an orthodontist take a look.
This depends on many things but mostly be aware that adolescent orthodontic treatment usually takes an average of 24 months the most time-consuming part of which is moving the roots which are anchored in the bone
The alignment of the teeth to a successful and satisfying result is dependent on a few factors. The skill of the Orthodontist, the difficulty of the case, the compliance by the patient including wearing any retainer device after the active treatment, are the main categories. Assuming all goes well as planned, there is little reason not to expect a permanent correction of the problem.
Normally, treatment can last as long as 18 months up to 2 years. To get a more specific answer, I suggest a consultation which includes a dental exam.

Hope that helps!

Braces move the teeth in bone and it has to be slow movement, each case is different, depending on position of teeth, age and many other factors.
Hi,

Mostly it will depend on the clinical situation. How complicated is your teeth position and bite? Usually, it will take from 6 months to 2 years.

Best,
Spacing between teeth are caused by different problems and each has different time management. I will advise you to see your orthodontics as regards to that treatment time frame.
It depends, can be usually from 6 months to 2 years depending on the complexity of the case.
