  • Joint pain?

You have many problems which you have outlined. You need to be evaluated by a musculoskeletal specialist such as an orthopedic surgeon, rheumatologist or physical medicine specialist. To evaluate your knee radiographs and perhaps an MRI would be better. The other areas that you complained about should be examined by a specialist with appropriate diagnostic studies ordered. READ MORE

  • What happens if tennis elbow is left untreated?

Nothing bad. Tennis elbow usually causes pain on the outside of the elbow. The severity can vary. Treatment can improve it but if you can tolerate the pain you can choose not to have any type of treatment. Sometimes it just burns itself out where the symptoms just resolve overtime without any specific treatment. READ MORE

  • Sore armpits?

I am not certain what you need to know. If your symptoms are significant you may need to be evaluated by your family doctor or a sports medicine specialist or orthopedic surgeon to determine possible cause for your symptoms and then they can suggest treatment options. READ MORE

  • Torn or pulled ankle?

Crutches and the boot are the proper first step if x-rays were negative. But if the pain does not rapidly subside, you need to be evaluated by a specialist such as orthopedic surgeon, Physiatrist or podiatrist to determine if they feel that the injury is serious. A careful examination is necessary. If examination is not conclusive you may require MRI study. READ MORE

  • What can an orthopedic doctor do for knee pain?

Lots of things. First they can examine you and perhaps obtain x-rays and try to determine what the source of your knee pain is. They can provide treatment by prescribing appropriate medication, prescribing physical therapy and if necessary obtain MRI study. They will then be able to inform you if your condition may require surgery. READ MORE

  • Do ganglion cysts go away on their own?

Yes, they can. So, if a ganglion cyst is not bothering you much, just watch it and it may go away on its own. READ MORE

  • Hip pain?

There are many sources for your pain. Typically when patients report hip pain it is arising from either lower back. Regardless, you need to be evaluated by a medical professional to see where your pain is coming from and then provide advice regarding appropriate treatment. READ MORE

  • Do orthopedic doctors treat back pain?

Yes. All orthopedic surgeons are trained in the evaluation and treatment of back problems. Some, however, only do evaluations and do not do surgery. READ MORE

  • Achilles tendon pain and snapping?

The main concern is pain. If you have continued pain with activities, you need to be evaluated by a specialist and consider obtaining MRI study or ultrasound study to further evaluate the tendon. The snapping if it is not painful should not be of concern. Many times there are snapping or popping or clicking but we cannot find the source and sometimes you can spend a lot of money doing multiple tests without results. But if the snapping itself causes pain then a detailed examination by a specialist as well as MRI study will be helpful. READ MORE

  • How do you get rid of a ganglion cyst on your foot?

If is not causing any pain I recommend leaving it alone. If it is painful chronic compression such as wrapping it with an Ace wrap for a period of time. If that does not do the trick and the cyst remains painful, the cyst can be aspirated. If all fails, sometimes surgery is required. READ MORE

  • Is massage good for tennis elbow?

Yes it can be helpful READ MORE

  • Can flat feet be fixed without surgery?

Flat feet do not need to be treated if they are not causing any symptoms. If you are experiencing pain sometimes, arch supports can be helpful. There is no way to correct flat feet without surgery. Just remember, surgery is rarely indicated to treat flat feet. READ MORE

  • Are ganglion cysts hard like bone?

No they are usually soft and compressible. If it is very hard you may be dealing with a bone spur rather than a ganglion cyst. READ MORE

  • Will my plantar fasciitis ever go away?

Yes this is a very treatable condition. Usually with stretching exercises and nighttime bracing the condition will resolve. Also proper shoe wear is important. READ MORE

  • Does massage help with knee pain?

Massage can be helpful for knee pain. READ MORE

  • How do you check for tennis elbow?

What is described to be tennis elbow is usually pain on the outside of the elbow made worse with forceful activities of the wrist. READ MORE

  • Extreme pain in elbow?

If this developed in the course of your work activities you are entitled to Worker's Compensation benefits and can receive treatment through your employer's Worker's Compensation insurance. READ MORE

  • Cervical hemangiomas?

  • Can I go to the gym with tennis elbow?

Exercise is beneficial for tennis elbow. You need to do the activities that strengthen your elbow muscles but do not aggravate the pain. You can get instructions from a physical therapist or sports trainer. READ MORE

  • How long does it take for a tendon to heal after surgery?

There are multiple tendons in the body so your question needs to be more specific. It is a partial or complete tear? If it is a complete tear requiring surgical repair based on scientific studies full strength of the tendon is not gained until one year. That is why see athletes that tear and major tendon are out for one year from their sport. READ MORE
