How long should you stay home with the flu?
If your son was diagnosed with Influenza infection, i.e. tested positive, I would recommend him staying home with good hand hygiene, cough etiquette, plenty of fluid and rest. Structural routine, stick to the discipline and rules without negotiation, time-out or privilege taken off if not following the rules, reward systems (verbal or non-verbal), limited screen time to one hour a day only (homework does not count), avoid video games.
